Frequently Asked Questions
| Q. |
Who can attend the Rally? |
| A. |
State H.O.G. Rallies are intended for current H.O.G. members, but members may register one guest, and children are $5 if attending with any registered adult participant. You can always join H.O.G. NOW, and with your new H.O.G. Member Number, pre-register as a member NOW for all of the Rally benefits!! |
| Q. |
Why do I need to pre-register? |
| A. |
By pre-registering you will help the Rally Committee plan a better Rally!! We’ll know how many of you to expect for meals, rides, and all of the other activities we are planning…and how many great prizes we can give away!! |
| Q. |
Do I need to belong to a H.O.G. Chapter to pre-register or register on-site for the Rally? |
| A. |
No. Although H.O.G. Chapter membership has more benefits than we can list here…you don’t need to belong to a specific Chapter to participate in the camaraderie of the Rally. In fact, after your Rally experience, you’ll be looking for a Chapter to join!! |
| Q. |
What do I need to bring to the Rally with me? |
| A. |
You’ll need to bring your current H.O.G. membership card (active through May 2013), as well as the Confirmation Card we will send you approximately 4 weeks prior to the Rally. The Confirmation Card is especially important as it will be your entry into the New Mexico State H.O.G. Rally Knife drawing. |
| Q. |
What can I do if I miss the March 21, 2013, Pre-Registration Deadline? |
| A. |
Don’t panic!! You’ll still be able to register on-site!! The downside to waiting to register on-site is that you won’t get the real “Bang for your Buck”… custom Rally merchandise may not be available, and sign-up events may be filled. So don’t wait…Pre-register NOW!! |
| Q. |
What if I want to help out during the Rally? |
| A. |
We welcome Volunteers with open arms…and you will be Official Rally Staff!! However, you must be registered for the Rally…you can even fill out a Volunteer Form right now, right along with your pre-registration…to ensure that you’ll be able to do what you want, when you want to do it (so be sure to check the Rally Schedule to see what’s going on)!! |
| Q. |
If I just can’t make it to the Rally will I get a refund? |
| A. |
No. Pre-registration is non-refundable…but, if you are unable to attend, send your Confirmation Card with a friend and we’ll send your Rally Packet home with them. |
| Q. |
What if I need to have my bike serviced or I need to buy Harley-Davidson Motorclothes? |
| A. |
Thunderbird Harley-Davidson will be the nearest Dealership. They are located at 5000 Alameda Boulevard, Albuquerque, NM. Thunderbird’s schedule is…Monday to Friday 9am to 7pm (Service opens at 8am)…Saturday hours are 9am to 5pm and Sunday hours are 10am to 4pm. There will be plenty of activity at Thunderbird…registration, ride departures, food, music, and much, much, more…so you can make an appointment for your bike…or pick up an official Thunderbird tee for your collection!! |
| Q. |
Does New Mexico have a helmet law? |
| A. |
No…except for minors under 18 who must wear a helmet. We do recommend that you wear a helmet while riding…for your own safety and protection…we do get some pretty good winds here!! |
| Q. |
What’s up with the “Chili” rating for a ride? |
| A. |
We rate our rides with a “Chili” rating. This is how it goes…One Chili is an easy ride, suitable for beginner. Two Chili’s is a bit more, a moderately challenging ride or mixed terrain. Three Chili’s equals a more advanced ride, perhaps a bit longer and mixed terrain. Four Chili’s is a Smokin Hot ride…just a fun ride for everyone who likes to ride with challenges like twists and turns. |
| Q. |
